What is Mini Course Generator? A plain definition, with plans and limits

Last materially reviewed 2026-10-03

Quick answerMini Course Generator is a web tool for building short, page-by-page online courses with AI help, then sharing them by link, embed or export. Plus costs $49 a month, or $39 billed annually.

Mini Course Generator in one paragraph

Mini Course Generator is a browser-based course builder and lightweight learning platform, sold at minicoursegenerator.com, that turns a topic or a document into a short course made of pages, quizzes and interactive blocks. You write or generate the pages, publish the course, and send learners a link. The vendor says it launched in late 2021 and describes the product as an AI course creator combined with an authoring tool. It also says "mini" describes the bite-sized page structure, not a hard cap: the editor does not limit course length.

This site has not used the product hands-on. Everything here comes from the vendor's pricing page, product pages and help center, as read on 3 October 2026.

How a course gets made in Mini Course Generator

The help center describes the same route for every course:

  1. Click Create mini course and pick AI Course Builder, or start with a blank course.
  2. Optionally give the AI a source. It accepts PDF files up to 100 MB and 100 pages, or YouTube links, and you choose how closely it should follow the source.
  3. Set the language, topic and goals. The AI proposes an outline that you can edit before any pages are written.
  4. Generate the pages, then edit them with drag and drop blocks for text, images, video and interactions. A quiz of five multiple-choice questions is added by default.
  5. Publish. Every course starts as a draft with no working share link until you publish it.
  6. Choose who can get in, then share the link, embed the course on a web page or export it.

If you want the practical version of those steps, see how to create a mini course. If the draft comes from AI, read how to review an AI draft before anyone takes the lesson.

Plus and Pro plans, prices and limits

The pricing page lists two self-serve creator plans and a separate Enterprise tab. Both creator plans allow unlimited courses, and both open with 14 days of full access without a credit card.

The vendor states that it charges no setup fee and takes no fee on course sales. The full cost picture, including what happens when you pass the learner allowance, is on the Mini Course Generator cost page.

What Plus and Pro leave out

The plan comparison table marks several items as not included on either creator plan: team seats, the REST API, single sign-on, in-app authentication, the headless LMS, the Intercom app, embeddable widgets and a dedicated success manager. Those sit with Enterprise, and the pricing page text I read shows no Enterprise price.

On Plus specifically you do not get certificates, invitation-only access, AI course translation, webhooks or Dynamic SCORM export. One more caution. The vendor's pages disagree on export plans: the pricing page lists PDF export on Plus and Dynamic SCORM export on Pro, while a help article says PDF needs Pro and SCORM needs a plan called Elite. Confirm the export you need during the trial.

Who Mini Course Generator suits, and who should pick something else

It suits a small team or solo trainer who wants short lessons out quickly, with quizzes and a completion report, for up to 500 or 1,000 learners a year. It also suits someone who wants to sell a small course without a platform fee on each sale.

Choose something else in three cases. If you need a full course business with memberships, communities and a mobile app, compare it with Teachable in Mini Course Generator vs Teachable. If your procedures are not yet written down, an SOP tool such as SweetProcess or Waybook comes first. If you need single sign-on on a self-serve plan, neither Plus nor Pro includes it.
